When I was looking for shapes that were simple, pleasant and friendly to make, I pictured in my head certain animals from nature that always come to mind, though I’m uncertain of why they are so familiar to me. I remember when I started the jewelry casting course and I was getting to know carving wax, the first thing I carved 8 years ago was a lizard, then a turtle, then a snail and then a frog. All of these are found in the “Nature” collection of jewelry cast in 950 silver.

Without realizing it, the first thing I started to model using Plasticine Modelling Clay in 2020 were those same animals. I started my first collection of sulptures called Dreamed Nature, which are personally designed and uniquely finished, with oil painting, gold accents, and graphic elements that make them very personal. They are small sculptures that have a special strength due to their shape and a handling of color that makes them collectibles. I am sure they will stand out wherever they are placed.

This collection in particular makes me very happy because it combines many lessons that I have had throughout my life aush as: modeling a piece in plasticines, making a mold, casting in resin and oil painting. With its unique chromatic scale and finally the gold accents that enhance the shape and design, the graphic elements take a particular importance in this collections. The repetition of lines, points, spirals, and circles give each sculpture a significant graphic richness.
